Track 2 A Swedish Waltz & St John's Mazurka
Swedish traditional & Irish traditional. Dave Gittus: button accordion; Julie Gittus: fiddle; Ian White: banjo
A Swedish Waltz: All three of us love Swedish folk tunes. Dave & Julie learnt this particular waltz off an old untitled tape recording of Swedish fiddle tunes passed on by a friend.
St John's Mazurka: Learnt from the CD titled 'Crossing', by Matt Cranitch, Mick Daly and Dave Henessy. This tune was recorded in Newfoundland from the playing of Bob O'Donovan, a fiddle player from Cork. St John's is a town in Newfoundland.
